The Light Map

We are the Ziadeh family: Riyad, his wife Hannan and our children. Together we are lighting candles in Jordan's ancient and forgotten churches, one visit at a time. Each flame stands for heritage revived, ancestors remembered and faith renewed.

نحن عائلة زيادة: رياض وزوجته حنان وأولادنا. معاً نضيء الشموع في كنائس الأردن القديمة والمنسيّة، زيارة بعد زيارة. كل شعلة تعني تراثاً يعود للحياة، وأجداداً نتذكّرهم، وإيماناً يتجدّد.

    The Light Map is our family's journey to light a candle in every ancient and forgotten church in Jordan, then across the world. Each visit brings an old place back to life, honours those who prayed there before us and keeps our faith alive for our children.

    خريطة النور رحلة عائلتنا لنضيء شمعة في كل كنيسة قديمة ومنسيّة في الأردن، ثم في العالم كله. كل زيارة بترجّع الحياة لمكان قديم، وبتكرّم اللي صلّوا فيه قبلنا، وبتحافظ على إيماننا حيّ لأولادنا.

    Add your candle to the map ضع شمعتك على الخريطة

    Any family, school or parish can add a flame. Here is how it works, step by step. أي عائلة أو مدرسة أو رعيّة بتقدر تضيف شمعة. هاي الطريقة خطوة بخطوة.

    1. Choose a church اختر كنيسة

      An old, historic or forgotten church or chapel, in Jordan or anywhere in the world. Check the map first to make sure it isn't lit yet.

      كنيسة أو كابيلا قديمة أو تاريخية أو منسيّة، بالأردن أو بأي مكان بالعالم. شوف الخريطة أول لتتأكد إنها مش مضاءة.

    2. Visit and light a candle زُرها وأضئ شمعة

      Go with your family or group, respect the place and any guard or priest there, and light one candle.

      روح مع عيلتك أو مجموعتك، احترم المكان والمسؤولين عنه، وأضئ شمعة وحدة.

    3. Film the moment صوّر اللحظة

      A short video is enough: the church from outside, the inside, and the candle being lit. Say the church name and the town.

      فيديو قصير بكفي: الكنيسة من برا، من جوا، ولحظة إضاءة الشمعة. احكي اسم الكنيسة والبلد.

    4. Send it to us ابعتلنا إياه

      Email info@ziadehadventures.com with: the church name, the town, the location pin, and the video (a YouTube or Drive link).

      ابعت إيميل على info@ziadehadventures.com فيه: اسم الكنيسة، البلد، موقعها على الخريطة، والفيديو (رابط يوتيوب أو درايف).

    5. Your flame joins the map شمعتك بتنضم للخريطة

      We check the details, give your candle its number and add it to the Light Map with your name and video.

      منراجع التفاصيل، منعطي شمعتك رقمها، ومنضيفها على خريطة النور مع اسمك والفيديو تبعك.
